A new study claims that California is home to many, many psychopaths – which, I guess, might just prove what you have always thought about some of your coworkers.
Researchers at Southern Methodist University used data on the “big five” personality traits in the study: agreeableness, extraversion, openness, conscientiousness and neuroticism.
California came in second on the list of states with the most psychopaths, with Connecticut found to be the state that home to the most.
The states with the least amount of psychopaths were found to be: West Virginia, Vermont, Tennessee, North Carolina, and New Mexico.
One interesting note, Washington, D.C. was excluded from the general list, but when included, it beats out every state as the most psychopathic place in the country. Which, based on the current state of politics, totally makes sense.
