Just a guess here, but the California Supreme Court probably did this because changing the lyrics to “California Girls,” “California Gurls” (shudder), “California Love,” “Dani California,” “California Dreamin’,” “Goin to California,” and that Phantom Planet theme song for “The OC” would have been too much work.
