A woman was arrested at a Target Store in Lathrop (just south of Stockton) this weekend after police say she gulped down six Stella Artois bottles in the store’s dressing room.
According to the Lathrop Police Department, Elysia Johnson entered the Target store about 3:30 pm. She placed several items into a shopping cart and hand basket including a six pack of Stella Artois beer. She then walked into the dressing room – where she stayed for over an hour.
After consuming the six beers, Johnson left the store with over $200 worth of items in her possession that officials say she didn’t pay for.
Johnson was detained by a Target loss prevention officer until police arrived.
She was booked in the San Joaquin County Jail for shoplifting along with three additional warrants.
