You can hike to a giant pumpkin rock in Norco

Looking to get in the Halloween spirit while also getting a little exercise in? How about heading out to the Pumpkin Rock hike in Norco.

AllTrails rates the hike as a moderate 2.7 mile loop with a 721 foot elevation gain – but, that’s not what really interests you is it? No, you want to see the pumpkin rock!

If you’re looking for an awesome hike to help you get ready for the Halloween season, take a look at this hidden gem! Known as Pumpkin Rock Trail for obvious reasons, this trail literally leads to a giant rock painted exactly like a pumpkin and it's absolutely delightful to see. Not only is the pumpkin surprise at the end of the trail a real treat, but the path that leads there is quite beautiful. This hike is approximately only one-mile round trip, although it isn't a long one, it's definitely a steep one so come prepared for a big hill. The rock has been there for 20 years and is painted as a jack-o’-lantern all year, notes the Press Enterprise.  The city maintains the trail and removes graffiti (side note: don’t be a jerk and add graffiti to it).
