This Sunday, Dec. 7, there will be a screening of the not-very-good, made-for-tv flick “Christmas in Palm Springs”. The free event will take place at 3pm at The Palm Springs Convention Center.
The film, which surprisingly takes place in Palm Springs of all places, stars not one, but two stars of “Starship Troopers” (and no, NPH is not one of them). Those stars, Patrick Muldoon and Dina Meyer, along with Ian Ziering (future star of Sharknado 13: Electric Boogaloo) will be in Palm Springs at the screening on Sunday – so if you have always wanted to meet Steve Sanders, this is going to be your chance.
One reviewer (the only one) said of “Christmas in Palm Springs” that “there is nothing “Christmas” about this movie other than it happens to be that time of year. The script is uneven and the acting is so-so.” – and if that does not get you excited, I do not know what will! Who wouldn’t enjoy an hour and a half of lines like this…
On the bright side, the film does have several hilariously notable product placement moments for the city of Palm Springs including a weak Ferris Bueller imitation of a dude singing on a parade float in the Palm Springs light parade. So there is that.
