Police are looking for a man they say threw a rifle from his car on Thursday night.

Cathedral City Police were called to the Santa Fe Restaurant a little before midnight after an employee saw a man with a gun, reports KESQ.
When the suspect saw police arrive, he got into a car and drove away onto Canyon Vista Road, then 33rd Avenue, where he fled on foot.
While walking the route, Police then found the AR-15 rifle, according to KMIR. They believe the man threw from his car.
