Los Angeles, without a football team since 1994, may get two teams as The San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders could be sharing the same Los Angeles stadium.
The LA Times reports, The Chargers and Raiders are developing a detailed proposal for a privately financed Los Angeles venue in the event they can’t come to an agreement on deals in San Diego and Oakland by the end of this year.
The Chargers and Raiders issued a statement to The LA Times on Thursday: “We are pursuing this stadium option in Carson for one straightforward reason: If we cannot find a permanent solution in our home markets, we have no alternative but to preserve other options to guarantee the future economic viability of our franchises.”
