If you are looking for a fast food chicken sandwich, you can soon get one in Palm Desert – well, six days a week anyway.
Chik-fil-A has signed a lease with Monterey Crossings – which is currently being planned at Dinah Shore and Gateway, reports the Desert Sun. Other business that have signed leases include: Pieology, The Habit Burger Grill, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, Pokéhana, Les Schwab Tires, and a CarMax with enough room to sell 178 cars. There are also plans for a hotel on the property.
The new additions will be a short drive away from the desert’s first Krispy Kreme.
There have been rumors of a Chik-fil-A opening in the Coachella Valley for a while now. The chain is known best for its chicken sandwiches, its opposition to same sex marriage, and its policy to never open on Sunday – even when located in an NFL stadium.
Construction is not set to begin until at least the middle of 2018.
