A child found on unattended on a Coachella Valley Unified School District bus after 5 pm on Monday was taken to the hospital.
The child was on the bus for a “substantial length of time”, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department news release (via KESQ). The unnamed minor was evaluated at the hospital and it was determined they did not sustain any injuries and the child was released.
The bus driver is cooperating with law enforcement.
