Christopher Lee was sentenced on Tuesday to life in prison without parole for the murder of Erin Corwin.

A jury in San Bernardino deliberated for about 2 hours earlier this month before returning with a guilty verdict against Lee of first-degree murder.

Investigators found Corwin’s body on Aug. 16, 2014 in an abandoned mine shaft, near Joshua Tree National Park.
Lee had confessed to killing Corwin during the trial and even went so far as to show how he did it using a life-size doll provided by the prosecution. Lee told the jury he was angry because he believed Corwin, whom he had been having an affair with, had been molesting his daughter.
