New information has come out about the arrest of Austin “Chumlee” Russell – best known for starring on Pawn Stars – for drugs and weapons charges when police were called to his home due to sexual assault allegations.
Police discovered a locked vault in Chumlee’s bedroom. When they opened it, they found about four ounces of weed and about a dozen guns. But, Chumlee had an explanation – via Las Vegas Sun:
Prior to opening the vault, Russell told detectives how much marijuana they would find and that he wasn’t a drug dealer but smoked “a lot of weed” and bought it in bulk, police said.
A search of the rest of the house netted detectives Xanax prescription pills and methamphetamine, according to police.
Chumlee, who is 33, was arrested on 19 counts of drug possession and one count of possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.
Police are still investigating the sexual assault charges.
