Circuit City, that place you used to go to when Best Buy didn’t have what you were looking for, is making a comeback.
The company, which is still around (!), announced on their website (they have a website!) that under new ownership, the company, “will relaunch with a dynamic, social-focused e-commerce site, along with various concepts of innovative retail stores, and unprecedented e-commerce technology offerings.”
What exactly that means, I don’t know. But, I’m sure since it’s Circuit City, it will have “service that’s state of the art.”
CEO Ronny Shmoel said at a news briefing that the new Circuit City site will have videos, virtual vignettes, search-by-photo, augmented reality and real-time tech support via video chat, according to ABC 7.
Not that any of it matters, since everyone just shops at Amazon now.
