It’s that time of year again. Football is on TV, pumpkin spice is flavoring everything, the Halloween stores are open, and everywhere but the Coachella Valley is getting excited about cooling temps and fall. For those of us in the desert, well, this is when cabin fever starts to really set in – as we have binged on way too much on Netflix, we can’t cool off by going up the Tram, and dammit, we just want to go outside already!!! Usually, Mother Nature gives us at least a random day or two where the temperature sneaks below 100 degrees in September, but guess what? Not this year! What the hell, Mother Nature?
Now I know this isn’t even close to being the biggest weather story happening, as we all worry about our east coast friends in the path of Florence, but we can still take a look at the extended forecast for the Coachella Valley from Weather.com:
I know. I know. It could be worse. But then, everything can be worse. Typically high temps start to drop under the century mark this time of year, but not in 2018. Because 2018 has just decided to be the most ridiculous year ever, I presume.
I’m sure, sooner or later, we will finally get one or two days where the temp drops below 100 and, who knows, maybe, if we’re lucky, those days might even happen before Thanksgiving.
