A Coachella man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with a series of armed robberies that took place between August and October.
A search warrant was served at a residence on Calle Avila in the City of Coachella, according to a news release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The search warrant stemmed from an investigation into a series of armed robberies that occurred in the City of Coachella over the last three months.
Gang Task Force Officers identified documented gang member, Brian Jamand , 23, as being a suspect in the robberies. Jamand was apprehended during the service of the search warrant. Officers also seized a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun and heroin from the residence.
Jamand was charged with multiple counts of armed robbery and booked at the Indio Jail.
A 17-year-old juvenile was also arrested at the residence and has been charged with possession of narcotics with a loaded firearm and booked at Juvenile Hall in Indio.
