A 25-year-old Coachella man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with a kidnapping and assault that took place over the weekend.
Police arrested Christian Ortiz in the area of Highway 111 and Cook Street by the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force, according to a news release.
The incident took place on March 3 in the city of Coachella. No further details were released.
No details regarding the kidnapping were released.
Ortiz was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon and child endangerment.
