Coachella Weekend One weather forecast: Cool and a chance of rain

You never know what kind of weather you are going to get during the Coachella Music and Arts Festival every year. In some years, it can be hot af! While in others, it can be crazy windy and, yes, sometimes it even rains in the desert – and there’s a decent chance that’s going to be the case for Weekend One in Indio.

According to Weather.com, festival goers will arrive to find a toasty 87 degrees at the Empire Polo Club, but that will quickly change – with Friday seeing a high of 80 and a low of 53, which doesn’t sound too bad for the Childish Gambino kick off day of the fest.  Saturday however, will only see temps get up to 76 degrees – with a 40 percent chance of rain during the Tame Impala headlined day.

(Weather.com forecast for Indio – as of 4/3)

That chance for rain is only 10% on Sunday and things will begin to warm up again, with a high of 80 degrees forecasted – which should be pretty nice for Ariana Grande fans.

There is a chance for wind gusts between 10 – 20 mph throughout Weekend One, so be sure to get those tents tied down, campers.

Of course, it’s a still a ways out and this stuff can change (we will update this post if it does).

The event is sold-out, but a quick check to StubHub shows Weekend One passes can be had for $399 (plus fees), which is less than the $429 passes originally sold for on the officials site.   Weekend Two passes were listed as low as $359.
