Cactus Hugs is at Coachella Weekend Two and will posting periodic recaps, updates, and musings.

Oh entire slice of pizza on the ground, what is your story? I know somewhere amongst these 90,000 people, there is someone now very hungry because – even though they spent $7 on you – they obviously did not eat you. But beyond that, all I know is there is sadness.

Were you simply dropped? Were you slapped out of someone’s hand? Did your buyer realize that there was gross broccoli on you and hit the eject button?

Guess we will never know your story, gross broccoli pizza on the grass.  R.I.P.

Some other things:

  • There are very few things better than a Coachella sunset…

  • Seriously, though…

  • No matter where you stand to watch a performance, a much taller person will immediately stand in front of you.  They will also have a huge backpack that they will back into you over and over.
  • Thank god for Neti Pots – they are your best friend after a day at windy, Dustchella
  • Elle Goulding did a short tribute for Prince by singing a verse from “When Doves Cry”.  It was nice.

  • I paid $13 for a tiny, 7 oz. beer – and I am not mad at all about it. Coachella has a craft beer barn and paying $3 more for an Allagash Bourbon Barrel Aged Triple over a Heineken was so worth it. Seriously, it was a really good beer.
  • Of Monsters and Men is a pretty great band

  • Saw someone chugging vodka on the shuttle bus at 4 p.m.  I imagine they had a very, very long day.
  • It never ceases to amaze how many people are here.
