The body of a woman was discovered Thursday morning in an area near Twentynine Palms.
Deatrice Yunvondia Frierson, 55 of Coachella, was found dead at about 11 am in the open desert east of Singing Sands Road, about a quarter mile north of the Twentynine Palms Highway, reports the Desert Sun.
Police found Frierson’s car stuck about a quarter mile away from her body, in soft sand, notes KESQ.
Authorities are investigating.
