Collision in Palm Desert Results in Death of 73-Year-Old Cyclist

A traffic collision in Palm Desert resulted in the death of a 73-year-old bicyclist from Colorado on Monday.

According to The Press Enterprise, the accident was reported about 11:30 a.m. at Highway 111 and Mesa View Drive.

Officials say Rose Peters was struck by a vehicle and died less than an hour later at Desert Regional Medical Center.

Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
