Police arrested a naked 18-year-old man and a woman (clothed) at a Joshua Tree gas station late Friday night. Cops say the man was fighting customers and breaking merchandise in the store – a no-no for anyone, no matter how little clothing they are wearing at the time.
Joseph Rotstein came up behind Joshua Tree musician Gene Evaro Jr. at the Valero gas station convenience store on Twentynine Palms Highway. Rotstein punched Evaro Jr. several times in the face, reports Z107.7. Evaro suffered a black eye as a result. Evaro’s companions subdued Rothstein while Evaro exited the store.
Rothstein then began to destroy merchandise and, as KESQ reports, pinned 29-year-old Desert Pinar to the ground and pulled her hair.
Authorities arrived to find Rotstein still naked. He was arrested for investigation of vandalism and being under the influence.
Pinar was also arrested for investigation of being under the influence and possession of methamphetamine.
