A couple on their way home from a Memphis, Tennessee Barbecue Festival got pulled over on the Interstate, but not because they had done anything wrong – rather, the police officer was worried about the man passed out on their trunk.
“The officer came up and he said, ‘Mr. are you aware there’s a body on your trunk?’, and that did not register,” Carl Webb, the driver of the car, told FOX 13. “He goes, ‘Mr. I’m not messing with you. There’s a body on your trunk.’ So I got out. We walked around and sure enough there he was still hanging on, still unconscious, just lying there.”
Webb told the tv station he drove for 14 miles (!) with the man, who was drunk, sleeping on his 14-inch-wide trunk. No one is sure how the man stayed on their for so long and it is really amazing nothing terrible happened to him.
The man was put into a police vehicle and there is no word on if he was charged with anything.
