The Rancho Mirage Krispy Kreme plans to open in March

It appears that you won’t have to wait too much longer to get your hands on that delicious warm glazed goodness that is a Krispy Kreme doughnut as the first Coachella Valley location for the chain in Rancho Mirage is set to open in March of 2019, according to KMIR.

A rep for Krispy Kreme told the tv station that they are already in the process of hiring managers for the location, which will be located in the  Monterey Marketplace 2 shopping center off of Dinah Shore, perfect for those looking to swing off the freeway to grab a doughnut or two or twelve on those long road trips between Southern California and Phoenix.

Krispy Kreme began in the 1930s and has since expanded to over 1,000 locations around the world. They are best known for their original glazed doughnut, but they also carry other varieties of pastries and beverage options.

Stores are known for their “hot light” which illuminates when a fresh batch of doughnuts is ready.  Originally just seen at the store, the company has since synced up the light to its app for those who are super serious into their Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

For those looking for a free doughnut, you’re in luck as most stores offer free glazed doughnuts on National Doughnut Day, Halloween, and even Talk Like a Pirate Day – though you do have to work for that one by, you guessed it, taking like a pirate.

And, since I know you’re curious, National Doughnut Day is June 7, so it looks like the Rancho Mirage Krispy Kreme will be open in time for you to score your freebie.
