Dan Ball would like you to not boycott the restaurant where he held a political fundraiser

It’s only January and the midterm elections are still eleven months away – ELEVEN MONTHS!!! – and yet, here we are with a number of people proclaiming they will be boycotting a Palm Springs restaurant after a former TV person who is now running for Congress held a fundraiser there.

The Uken Report has a longer write-up on the Wang Ball flap (#WangBallFlap) going on in Palm Springs. In a nutshell, Dan Ball, a Republican, held a fundraiser at Wang’s in the Desert, a Palm Springs restaurant. Ball says the owners of the joint didn’t endorse him, rather he just asked them to use the restaurant as a place to host the event.

After Ball posted about the event on Facebook, a post went up on the LGBT Palm Springs Facebook group from David Gray stating, “If you support our great Congressman Ruiz, it is troubling to see the owners of Wang’s supporting his opponent.”  Many comments followed suggesting they would also boycott the restaurant.

Thursday night, Ball tweeted his support for the LGBT community and the restaurant, tagged people like Sean Hannity and Tomi Lahren, and, perhaps most surprisingly, only used one hashtag (incorrectly and, sadly, not #WangBallFlap):

And it may all be or not anyway, as we all know the election always comes down to who drives the shittiest car.
