A 39-year-old Desert Hot Springs man was arrested after police say he was plotting to “hunt and ambush” police officers.
Oscar Rene Parra Rincon was arrested at his on Calle Azteca at around 9:15 pm Friday night, according to a news relase. Police say they got a tip that he had illegal obtained ammunition and “was actively and imminently planning to hunt and ambush police officers.”

He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, kidnapping, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person and probation violation.
