A 16-year-old Desert Hot Springs boy suffering a gunshot wound was dropped off at a 7-Eleven store in Yucaipa by two people Saturday evening, according to officials.
The teenager, who was not named, was taken out of the vehicle and left behind the convenience store on Yucaipa Boulevard about 6:15 pm. A man in the car, “helped the victim out of the vehicle and placed him on the ground, then they sped off with the female driving, leaving the victim behind,” a news release said (via Press Enterprise).
The victim, who suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen, was taken to Loma Linda hospital.
Investigators do not know the location where the teen was shot and no description of the vehicle was given.
