The game was cancelled after the fight, according to KMIR. A player was detained but want not arrested.

“I’ve never seen this before,” Coachella Valley head coach Brett Davis told the Desert Sun. “We watched the whole thing. I saw a lot of their players run up in there. It’s too bad. You never see anything like this. This is crazy.”
The newspaper reports that a wide receiver from Desert Hot Springs went into the crowd after he saw someone take a swing at his dad.
The Palm Springs Unified School District released a statement about why they cancelled the game (via KESQ):
“The Principal assessed the situation and decided that in the best interest for the safety of spectators and players to cancel the game” – PSUSD
There is not word on how many people may have been injured in the ruckus.
It was Senior Night at the High School.
