Desert Trip: resell ticket prices continue to fall

There are just 44 days until Desert Trip, a three-day festival held over two weekends featuring The Rolling Stone, Paul McCartney, The Who, Roger Waters, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young. Tickets prices, which surged immediately after the passes went on sale, have come down quite a bit since then.

Our Ticket Tracker, which has been monitoring prices over at Stub Hub, shows general admission wristbands for Weekend Two prices at $430 – which is over $100 cheaper than the lowest price at the beginning of June and down over 20 bucks from last week.  It is also only $31 more than face value.

Weekend One prices have stayed steady at about $520 a ticket the past few weeks, but that too is down from the $652 they were priced at in early June.

Standing pit passes, the best tickets available by many measures, have also seen asking prices go down – with both dropping $100 in the last week alone (Weekend One is going for $1,899 and Weekend Two for $1,700 – which is just over $100 more than face value).

Face value for the tickets is $399 for general admission and $1,599 for standing pit.

Of course, this is in no way a call for you to buy your tickets from a reseller – because they mostly are greedy assholes who will hopefully end up losing their asses on the tickets – and yes, this is not the most scientific way to track prices, but Cactus Hugs will keep an eye on re-sell prices over the next few weeks for those of you who might be waiting for the right moment to pounce on some wristbands.

You can check out the Ticket Tracker here.  We are also tracking Coachella Fest tickets.
