The enormously popular Desert X (well, enormously popular for everyone who isn’t part of the Little Tuscany Neighborhood Organization) is coming back in 2019.
The event will include all new art installations and run from February 9 through April 30, 2019.
Artists are already being sought and sites are being scouted for the next round of Desert X, according to the Desert Sun. The newspaper also notes that 200,000 people visited a Desert X installation, including Team Jacob.
“The inaugural Desert X was both an honor to work on and an extraordinary journey into the unknown with some of the most significant artists working today. I could not have anticipated the overwhelming response to the exhibition, and the lure of the desert and its endless possibilities continue to inspire me,” Artistic Director Neville Wakefield said in a statement (via KESQ). “I want to delve even further into its potential and Amanda and Matthew bring valuable experience and a deep understanding and passion for presenting work in response to landscape, place and larger social and environmental issues.
