Desert Hot Springs Man threatens brother with 2-foot metal sword: police

A Desert Hot Springs man was arrested after police say he threatened his brother with a sword.

Police received reports of two men fighting at 7:40 a.m. Saturday morning on Cholla Drive, according to The Desert Sun. When police arrived they saw David Martinez, 54, with a 2-foot sword who had threatened to kill his brother.

Martinez’s brother, who was not named, was hiding in a nearby residence.

Police arrested Martinez on suspicion of assault and making threats.
