‘Don’t roofie someone on our watch’ – man arrested for alleged date drugging

A man accused by three women of attempting to slip something into his date’s drink was identified by Santa Monica police on Monday.

Michael Hsu was arrested for drugging with intent to commit a felony, according to ABC 7.

The story went viral on Facebook as three L.A. women told their story about how they saw Hsu slip something in to his date’s drink and warned the woman he was with. The women posed in a “Charlie’s Angels” pose in the meme photo accompanying the post – which has been shared over 110,000 times:

Sonia Ulrich, Marla Saltzer and Monica Kenyon were at happy hour at Fig restaurant in Santa Monica on Thursday night and say they saw a man acting strangely.

When his date left the table, he appeared to drop something in her glass. Ulrich went to the restroom to warn the woman who told her that man was “one of my best friends” and that the two had worked together for a year and a half.

The three women also told restaurant staff who reviewed security footage and called in the police.

Police found multiple vials of an unkonwn substance on Hsu when was arrested that night.
