The driver, whose name was not released, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries following the incident that also saw a 77-year-old female customer who was struck by the vehicle and also was hospitalized with serious injuries.
A preliminary investigation by police determined that the driver was parked in front Angel View when he suffered “an undetermined medical emergency causing him to black out and depress the accelerator,” police said.
