The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has announced a sobriety checkpoint for this Friday night.
The Palm Desert Police Department Traffic Unit will be conducting a DUI DUI/Drivers License Checkpoint tonight at an undisclosed location within the city limits tonight between the hours of 7 pm and 3 am on Friday, August 24, 2018.
Cops will be looking for signs of alcohol and drug impairment as well as checking licenses and registration.
Checkpoint or no checkpoint, if you have had too much to drink take a Lyft, an Uber, a cab, have a designated driver, or just stay home.
