Two people were arrested on Monday after police say they took lottery tickets from a Rancho Mirage business after threatening the clerk with violence.
Police responded to a call of armed robbery on Highway 111 on Saturday. They determined that a man and woman entered the business, demanded lottery tickets by threat of violence, then left, according to a release.
Police searched the scene and could not find the suspects, but determined they fled the scene in a white, Toyota Tundra.
After an investigation, Jonathan Cole, 37, and Karmina Barajas, 35, both of Indio, were arrested on charges of armed robbery and conspiracy.
