An early morning fire broke out in the Early Childhood Education Building of College of the Desert on Wednesday.
Firefighters arrived a little after midnight, responding to a report of a smoke alarm activation, according to a Cal Fire news release.
The fire was located and confined to a single room and contents in the Early Childhood Education Building. It took fire crews over an hour to douse the fire, according to the Press Enterprise.
25 firefighters and 5 engine companies responded.
