An earthquake struck near Ocotillo Wells and the Salton Sea on Thursday morning with people feeling it in Palm Springs and around the Coachella Valley.
The 4.1 magnitude earthquake hit at 5:48 pm, according to USGS. It was centered 20km east of Ocotillo Wells.

Update: Looks like it was downgraded a bit to a 3.9 magnitude earthquake:
