Firefighters arrived to a Palm Desert home on Tuesday morning to find an elderly man dead after drowning in a swimming pool.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was discovered about about 9:11 am at a home on Somera Road, according to a Cal Fire News release.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
