An elderly woman was struck by a vehicle near Cathedral City’s Candy Cane Lane on Thursday night, reports KESQ.

She was hit by a yellow Chevy Camaro about 6:50 pm, according to witnesses. They say that the Camaro drove away following the collision.
“She was lying on the ground. She was responsive and she seemed OK. Everybody around her was just telling her stay still until 911 was called, and then the ambulance came on the scene,” Stephanie Minor told the TV station.
There was no word on the woman’s condition.
