Enrique Marquez, the 24-year-old Redlands man accused of buying the weapons used in the San Bernardino terror attack, pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to multiple charges against him.
Marquez is accused of conspiring with Syed Farook to provide material support to terrorists, making false statements when buying two rifles, one count of marriage fraud, and one count of making a false statement on immigration paperwork.
In Wednesday’s court appearance in the U.S. District Court in Riverside, Marquez wore an all-white prison jumpsuit with his feet shackled and his hands cuffed. He answered, “yes, your honor” to each of the judge’s questions during the hearing.
He faces up to 50 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
