A former Miami Dolphins player swam an incredible 9 miles after falling from his boat off the coast of Florida.
Former Miami Dolphin Robert Konrad was fishing when he somehow fell from his boat Wednesday night off the coast of Florida near Palm Beach. The boat was set on autopilot and kept going without him.
Konrad then swam approximately 9 miles to safety (or in football terms, 15,840 yards)! Authorities believe he was in the water for 10-12 hours.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office located him on a beach the next day. Konrad was showing signs of hypothermia and was taken to an area hospital.
