The excessive heat warning currently in effect in the Coachella Valley was originally supposed to end today. But, because we will never be allowed to safely touch our steering wheels without wearing oven mitts on ever again, it has now been extended until the beginning of next week.

Oh joy.
The forecast calls for high temps to stay in the mid to upper 110s through Monday – then, if we are lucky, “cooling” all the way down to 108 by Tuesday and 106 by next Thursday.
