Finally, the 100+ degree days are behind us – and, if you are lucky, maybe one of these days you will actually get to wear that sweater that you bought all the way back in February.

That day may be coming soon. This map from The National Climatic Data Center displays when you should expect the coldest day of the year all across America.

For The Coachella Valley, you can expect the coldest day this year to occur between December 16 – 20.

Then you have the rest of the winter to mock and laugh at your bitterly cold friends and family back east and in the midwest – unless, of course, El Niño washes us all away.
