A Sacramento animal shelter had their gumball machine stolen – yes, their gumball machine – but, as you will see with the surveillance video that captured the crime, it was a bit of a struggle for the would-be thief.

“The Gumball Bandit faced many trials and tribulations when he broke into our shelter and stole our fund-raising gumball machine,” Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento posted on its Facebook page last week. “But don’t feel too sorry for this candy crook, he did just steal from a shelter after all.”

Police are investigating, but no arrests have been made.
