Facebook fight leads to two teenagers shot in Los Angeles

Two 18-year-old men were shot in the Harvard Park neighborhood of Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon after they went to parking lot to settle a dispute that started on Facebook.

The teens went to a liquor store parking lot about 2:45 pm, according to the LA Times. Two men were in the parking lot when the teenagers arrived and on of the men pulled a handgun and shot both victims in the torso.

The suspects are believed to be men between 18 and 20. An investigation is underway, but the LAPD believes the shooting may have been gang-related.

“They were having a dispute over Facebook about a gang or territory and went to settle it,” Sgt. A. Kaspian of the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street Station told NBC Los Angeles.

The victims were in stable condition as of Saturday night.
