
A fire broke out in the campground area of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival early Saturday morning.

Clips on social media show the blaze, with some saying they could hear an explosion prior to seeing the flames.

According to the Evening Standard, an alert was sent out to all those attending Coachella, cautioning them to “stay away” from the shower block.

Campers who had spent the day and night watching Childish Gambino and Kacey Musgraves, were moved away from the the mobile showers area as fire crews arrive a little after 2 am.
Outside Fire – RPT@ 2:06 am Empire Polo Grounds 81000 blk of Ave 51, in Indio. 4 ENG, 2 BC. FFs responded to reports of a fire Mobile Shower Unit on fire. Upon arrival the shower unit was fully involved, near center of venue. #CampIncident

By 2:28 am, CalFire had contained the fire:
#CampIncident [UPDATE] 2:28 am – Fire Contained. Mobile Shower Unit in Lot 8 Storage Area. Total of 2 trailers involved. 1 damaged, 1 destroyed. No reported injuries to fire personnel or civilians. Fire crews will remain on scene for 1 hour for overhaul. #Coachella

There were no injuries.
The fest continues on Saturday and Sunday, with performances by Tame Impala, Ariana Grande, Khalid, Kid Cudi, Weezer, Billie Eilish, and more.
