A brush fire broke out Wednesday near the 60 Freeway in the Badlands area between Beaumont and Moreno Valley.
The blaze has consumed 25 acres of brush as of 2:30, according to Cal Fire. It was first reported at 1:45 pm.

Caltrans requested the 60 be closed in both directions between Gilman Springs Road and Jack Rabbit Trail, according to the Press Enterprise.
