A Florida cop got a ticket for running a red light and slamming into a Corolla during a high speed chase in Florida.
The officer, Chris Bonner of the Ocoee Police Department, suffered multiple broken bones in the crash, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The Highway Patrol issued him a ticket for the crash.
The driver of the Toyota, Yahaira Castro Montalvo, told the newspaper that she now plans to file a lawsuit in connection with the crash after suffering two broken arms in the collision.
Officer Chris Bonner of the the Ocoee Police Department suffered “multiple broken bones” in the collision, the newspaper reported. The 29-year-old was cited for “failing to obey traffic laws” by running a red light, according to a statement from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Bonner was reportedly traveling at 90 miles an hour at the time of the impact, The Sentinel reported.
He was chasing two people who were suspected of armed robbery. They got away.
