“When you have embers another community come to businesses in your city, there’s not a lot we can do. We don’t have control over the gang activity in other communities that spill over into our city,” said Chief Walker. “The best we can do is educate our businesses on what to look for and how to properly deal with it. And we hope that businesses that are regulated by other state and federal establishments are abiding by those rules so that we can minimize these types of events.”
