Garth Brooks to Stagecoach goers: ‘Save some for me’

Garth Brooks is easily the most anticipated performer at this weekend’s Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio. Fans will have to wait a bit to see Brooks though, as he is slated to perform the closing set on Sunday night – a time at which he hopes that those at the Empire Polo Club aren’t totally pooped.

Brooks does a series of Facebook live videos called Inside Studio G. In this week’s episode, Brooks asked fans to reserve some energy for his set. “Save some for me, would ya? Please,” he pleaded.

And while that seems like a no-brainer for most, last year I arrived at Stagecoach at 3 pm on Friday to already find a clearly wasted dude out wasted in the shade near the entrance – a hell of a way to start off the weekend.

Brooks added that he is pretty stoked to be performing Stagecoach.

“The time off has been appreciated, and been taken advantage of, but the truth is, if you get away from music for two seconds, you already start missing it,” he said. “So we are all kind of hungry to get out and play again.”
