Hey remember how rad it was to pay less than 2 bucks a gallon only a month ago? Well, it is a good thing you decided not to buy that gas guzzling Suburban because fuel prices in The Coachella Valley are over 3 bucks again – and it is going to get worse.

The average price of gas in Riverside County has increased for 27 consecutive days – rising a total of 78.6 cents with almost 32 cents of that coming in the last week.  Michael Green, a spokesman for travel and leisure group AAA, told Marketwatch that Californians should expect another 20-cent-per-gallon price increase over the next couple of weeks.

The lowest reported price at the pump in The Coachella Valley on Thursday was $2.92.
