Founding member and guitarist of one of the most successful groups of all time, the Eagles, has died.
Glenn Frey had been battling intestinal issues for months, reports TMZ. Frey has surgery in November and in the last few days his condition took a turn for the worse.
Frey was instrumental to several Eagles hits, providing vocals on “Take It Easy,” “Tequila Sunrise,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” and “Heartache Tonight”. He also co-wrote “Hotel California” and “Desperado” with Don Henley.
The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and won six Grammys.
Frey was 67.
